Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (Start German 1) Exam Schedule
The official list below shows time slots reserved, not confirmed exams. It is important to confirm with your instructor whether or not the final exam for the course will be conducted during this time.
Before you register, make sure to review the Goethe exam guidelines and the terms and conditions that appear on each exam page. Make sure kategoria a1 register for the appropriate level of exam.
Locations
The Exam Schedule lists the locations where DEP conducts operator qualification tests. Check out the individual exam pages for additional guidelines, terms and conditions and exam information. If you need special accommodations due to chronic illness, hearing or visual impairment or other disabilities, contact the exam provider and provide the documents when you register.
The Faculty Dashboard in Workday has the option of "View My Teaching Schedule" that allows faculty to locate their exam schedules. The Registrar's Office also has a schedule of exam times for the courses that are required to be tested under NYSED regulations. Final exams for evening classes are scheduled during the regular class times of the final exams.

Registration
Students are encouraged to consult the exam schedule online. However, it is important to keep in mind that the final exam schedule may alter at any moment. Therefore, students should consult with their instructors to ensure that they have the correct date and time for their test. Students should also print out the official list of questions to bring to their exam.
In addition to the exam schedule, students should also familiarize themselves with the exam guidelines and terms and conditions. These can be found on the website for each exam. Students acknowledge having read and agreed to the terms and conditions upon registration.
Exam locations make every effort to accommodate students who have special requirements. The nature and degree of these requirements must be declared on the registration form, and then confirmed by an attestation of a doctor. The locations of the exam must respect and maintain confidentiality.
If a student is scheduled to take three tests on the same day, they must contact their instructor or department in order to schedule a retake test. It is possible to take three exams on the same day. However, this could cause a lot of stress and can affect the quality of the exam. The instructor may not be able to give a makeup test on another day.

Students must go through their course materials prior to taking the exam and must practice their German skills. The exam is a paper test that measures your ability to read and write, as well as speak German. The exam results are presented on a scale from A1 to C2. Students who pass the test are awarded an Goethe-Zertifikat. The certificate confirms that the student has reached language level A1. This level is the first level of the six-level scale of competence that is outlined in the Common European Framework of Reference for Foreign Languages. The test is free. Students should bring a valid government-issued ID to the test. Those without a valid photo identification will be disqualified.
Fees
If you have completed your studies at Elan Academy and wish to obtain an Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (start German 1), you must pay the exam fee. This is in addition to the course fee.
Practice tests allow you to get a feel for the style, wording, and difficulty of the questions on the test. They allow you to assess your level, discover gaps in your knowledge and increase your chances of passing the exam.
Please be aware that the exam fee is non-refundable. Exam results can only by sent via email and not by phone.
